Princess Anne thanks Moffat for gift to Strathcarron Hospice
Princess Anne meets E & R Moffat’s General Manager Gordon McIntosh on her 32nd annual visit to Strathcarron hospice
For the last 32 years, Princess Anne has been a patron of Strathcarron, a hospice covering central Scotland. She visits annually, and this year, on July 2nd, among the invited guests was Gordon McIntosh, Commercial Director of E & R Moffat. The Princess Royal personally thanked him and the company for its outstanding support in the development and refurbishment of the hospice’s new kitchen. Not only did Moffat manufacturer, supply and install the kitchen, they did it for free.

E&R Moffat provides £10,000 of equipment for free
Bonnybridge-based catering equipment manufacturer, E&R Moffat, won a contract to outfit the Strathcarron Hospice in Denny then decided to give the equipment and installation away for free.
Strathcarron was due to update its ward-level kitchen, which serves meals for around 400 terminally ill patients each year and 100 people a week coming in for day care. The ward kitchen is also used to provide meals, drinks and snacks for the 24 in-house patients, ward staff and visitors.

Northwoods Garden Centre is a successful family-run business based in Newcastle-under-Lyme, situated in picturesque woodland overlooking the Lyme Valley. Owned by Nick and Christina Gascoyne, it stocks everything even the most green-fingered gardener could require. “We aim to provide good service at the right price”, says Nick. As well as a range of local and exotic plants there is also a coffee shop, which offers customers delicious home-made meals, including an award-winning breakfast.

Red Maids School in Bristol is the oldest independent girls’ school in the country. With a history spanning nearly four centuries, the school has built a reputation as one of the best in the country. The current building dates from the 1840s, and a comprehensive modernisation program was completed recently, including a complete refurbishment of the dining hall.

After more than 45 years’ service, 22 of them as Works Director, George Hamilton has announced he will be retiring from E & R Moffat at the beginning of April 2015.

Moffat’s new recruits underline commitment to customers
Manufacturer’s expansion continues with further key appointments
Leading UK catering equipment manufacturer E&R Moffat has made two more key appointments in its sales department as the company drives through its expansion plans.
Eric Clarke is Moffat’s new Sales Area Manager for South East England, taking over from Justin Towns. Eric has more than 30 years’ experience of sales and project management in the catering industry, gained with names including Hobart and Rational. “I am joining the company at a great time,” he says. “Moffat is building on its solid traditions and has exciting plans going forward.’’
David McPherson has also recently joined as Moffat Sales Manager for Scotland, North of England and Ireland. David brings significant design and project management skills to the team and was previously with Falcon Foodservice, where the blue chip projects he oversaw included bespoke special development units and multiple MOD naval contracts.
